Purpose
1- To announce academic and practical studies concerning local technology production in machinery designing and manufacturing;
2- To provide information exchange between the persons and companies operating in this area;
3- To create technical discussion environment concerning the published studies;
4- To contribute to the development of convergence and cooperation between university and industry;
5- To improve Turkish technical knowledge.
Scope
(a) The journal publishes articles on or close to the following matters in line with its own objectives;
Machine Design, Design and Analysis of Mechanical Systems, Machinery Theory and Mechanism Technique, Components of Machinery, Manufacturing methods, Computer-aided design and manufacturing, Robotic and Flexible Manufacturing Methods, Fluid Mechanics, Selection of Materials and Material Problems, Quality Control, Factory Organization and Production Planning, Maintenance and Repair, and other matters in line with the purpose of the journal.
(b) Articles to be published in the journal may include an innovation, progress, development, enhancement, research or implementation outputs as well as research articles, implementation articles, translated articles and short articles.
(c) The journal may publish research and studies concerning manufacture and technology which can be helpful to our members, or promotional texts concerning the companies and organizations.
(d) There are announcements of national and international conferences, seminars and events organized on the subjects covered by the journal, as well as announcements of books, journals and similar publications on such subjects.
Evaluation of Articles
The Machinery Design and Manufacturing Journal aims to remain in a specific high quality level. Considering the conditions in Turkey, all necessary efforts and diligence will be shown to maintain this level of quality. Each article submitted to the journal shall be strictly reviewed and for this purpose, care shall be taken to evaluate it by expert reviewers across Turkey or abroad as much as possible. The authors of the article shall be informed about the results of the review and evaluation.
Right of Publication
All rights of publication concerning the articles are owned by METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation. The articles published in the journal may not be reproduced or published unless obtaining a written consent.
Working Principles
Legal owner of the journal is METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation. The “Editorial Board” of the journal is a body in charge with journal management. Boards of the journal is elected by METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation
The Editorial Board is responsible for publication according to the publishing principles. The Editorial Board reports its activities to METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation Board for approval.
