Matim Magazine

Purpose

1- To disseminate theoretical and applied studies in the field of machine design and manufacturing that contribute to domestic technology production.

2- To facilitate the exchange of knowledge among individuals and organizations working in this field.

3- To create a technical discussion environment around published studies.

4- To contribute to the closer relationship and collaboration between academia and industry.

5- To increase the accumulation of technical knowledge in Turkish.

Scope

(a) The journal publishes articles in the following areas or related topics in line with the magazine’s objectives:

Machine Design, Design and Analysis of Mechanical Systems, Machine Theory and Mechanism Design, Machine Elements, Manufacturing Methods, Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing, Robotics and Flexible Manufacturing Methods, Fluid Mechanics, Material Selection and Material Issues, Quality Control, Factory Organization and Production Planning, Maintenance and Repair, Other topics relevant to the magazine’s objectives.

(b) Articles to be published in the magazine can include research articles, application articles, review articles, translated articles, and short articles that encompass innovations, progress, developments, research, or application results.

(c) Articles presenting research and studies related to manufacturing and technology that may be beneficial to our members, as well as articles introducing companies and organizations, can be published in the magazine.

(d) Announcements about domestic and international conferences, seminars, etc., organized in the field covered by the magazine, as well as announcements about books, magazines, and other publications related to these topics, are included in the magazine.

Evaluation of Articles

The Magazine of Machine Design and Manufacturing aims to maintain a certain level of publication quality above all. Taking into consideration the conditions in Türkiye, every effort and meticulousness necessary to sustain this quality level will be exerted. Every article submitted to the magazine will undergo a thorough review, and for this purpose, experts in the field, both nationally and internationally, will be sought as referees whenever possible. Information about the review and evaluation outcomes will be provided to the authors of the articles.

Publication Rights

All publication rights of the articles published in the magazine belong to METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation. The articles in the magazine cannot be published or reproduced elsewhere without obtaining written permission.

Operational Principles

The legal owner of the magazine is METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation. The “Magazine Publication Board” is the body responsible for the management of the magazine. The Editorial Boards are selected by METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation.

The Editorial Board is responsible for the publication of the magazine in accordance with its publication principles. The Editorial Board informs and seeks approval from the METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation Board of Directors regarding its activities.

Those who wish to promote their institutions and products can have their promotional articles and image drafts published in the Machinery Design and Manufacturing Magazine by submitting them to our foundation, subject to a determined contribution fee.
